So many of us likes to take great care of our face, bodies and feet, especially for the coming of this winter colder months to come.  We love our bodies and face to feel like silk, nice and soft and supple, we use brushes and face scrubes for our face, we thrive for the glow look, and why not? For all that hard work that we put in on a daily basis to look great and to feel great needs to be seen surely.  But wait!!...  What happpend to our hairlines, our scalp, do you not think that our scalp needs this type of treatment too.

Healthy hair starts with a healthy scalp, we need to make sure that our scalp is clean and free from build up of oil and dirt, it may deem a bit hard for many of us that likes to shampoo less frequently in order to avoid dry hair.  Exfoliating your scalp like you do for your body helps to remove all of that build up from your pores, the same princple should apply for your scalp.

Benefits of exfoliating

Cornmeal & Essentrial Oils Hair Scrub

2 tablespoons Cornmeal
2 tablespoons of Clarifying shampoo
Tea Tree Oil
Peppermint Oil or Lavendar ( Peppermint helps to stimulate blood flow & Lavendar soothes and relaxes the scalp)

You will need to mix equal amounts of the cornmeal to the clarifying shampoo and add a few drops of tea tree oil and lavendar to the mix.  Apply the mixture to your scalp and message it in for a few minutes, then rinse.  This treatment to be done at least once a week if you have oily scalp or twice a month for normal scalp.

Brown Sugar & Oatmeal Scrub

2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoon finely oatmeal
2 tablespoons hair Clarifying Shampoo

This scrub will help to exfoliate the scalp, provide moisture to the hair and help to increase circulation to the hair follicle.

Mix all the ingredients into a bowl, apply the mixture to the scalp messaging the mixture in using a circular motion, then rinse.

I hope this has helped!  Do you exfoliate your scalp? Have you noticed a difference in your hair? What products did you use?
