BOOKING IN ADVANCE

Booking a hotel or buying a package deal well in advance can save you money and escape those price rises during the peak holiday seasons, get in the habit of looking into where you want to go, research the area, hotel and what activities there are too dependant on what you are looking for.

READ TRAVEL BLOGS

I love to read blogs and articles about travel, it gives me so much inspiration, ideas and tips on packing ideas, problems to avoid when travelling.  It's nice to see where they have been and their real opinion based on their experience.

CUT BACKS

Tracking your expenses is always a good thing, it allows you to see areas where you can save money and cancel memberships or subscriptions that you never use in view of saving. I like to do this every month, keep track on my spending and save money where I can towards holidays and emergency funds, you never know if life.  I use Excel spreadsheet and place all my expenses on there, this helps me to keep track of money coming and out and what is left I can choose to spend or save.

Try not to eat out all the time, instead, why not try out recipes online and get cooking at home, it's better because you're in control of what you put into your food, and it saves you lots of money.

DISCOUNTS

Its no shame in seeking a discount to save you some money, who doesn't like a good saving, subscribe to your favourite brands and supermarket newsletters where you can save money off your first purchase, or be the first to know when the sale is one.  Remember your goal is to save as much money towards your holiday.
