Ever wondered what the benefits are of hot oil treatment! Why do you ever need to include this into your hair regime?
For most of us, we put our hair through a lot, whether it is through heat, adding hair colour to your strands, blowing your hair out or even pressing your hair, all of this can all have some form of effect on your hair.
What does this do?
Hot oil treatment helps to smooth our cuticles from the usage of using hot styling tools, especially those with fine hair. This treatment helps to soften dry brittle hair and helps to seal in moisture, this process helps to minimize spilt ends too, it helps to tame frizz! To help with the split ends, what the oil does is it soaks into the ends to help smooth the split ends down. This treatment in addition to restoring moisture, helps with dry scalp and dandruff, to help with the dandruff you apply the hot oil treatment before you shampoo, this method is the best way in preventing dandruff. You would apply the hot oil to your scalp and message it in with your fingertips, apply your plastic bag or a plastic cap fro 15-20 minutes, then rinse your hair, shampoo and condition.
If you combine hot oil with your deep conditioner it will help to keep your colour looking very vibrant.
When should I conduct this treatment?
Treatments are suggested to be done at least once every 4-6 weeks, or more often if your hair feels or is dry very often.Tip!
